a princess, a grandmother and a woman i barely knew
this article was inspired by my actual emotions at the time i wrote this. i have a tendency to panic and, some would say, overreact. this article was published in the fall 2007 issue of d. magazine (i also did the layout which you can view in the print section of my portfolio.) |

a band story: parlor mob
This was written after a phone interview with one of the band members for the band section of the fall 2007 issue of d. magazine (i also did the layout which you can view in the print section of my portfolio.) the parlor mob was my first published interview and i have since discovered that i really enjoy doing this type of writing. |

CLIPS: meredith deacon, beyond a model
this article was published in the fall 2007 issue of d. magazine. it was part of an 8-page section called CLIPS, a selection of mini-bios on local inspirations. this was my second interview and write up. i was fairly certain that i was getting the hang of this stuff but now its gone to my head and i fancy myself a writer. |

marisa: a star on broad street
this article was published in the shopping highlight section in the winter(2007/2008) publication of red bank red hot. it consisted of interviewing marisa's owner, a local clothing boutique. after the interview was finished, the owner told me she thought i was from the mid-west. she assured me it was a compliment. |

dreams die fast, while you die slowly (and other useful everyday sayings)
i started this "book" of poetry and prose about 5 years ago. it was originally (and cleverly) titled uneditted. (you'll understand the clever comment if you actually start reading it.) it certainly is a darker side of suzi. my favorites are "mother" on pg. 24 and "desires" on pg. 29. |
